Quality Wood Carving is owned by Gary Detlaff, a designer and
manufacturer of fine bench-made furniture.  Gary is a Master
Carver, producing wood carvings handcrafted in the Old World
Tradition.

Gary began carving twenty-four years ago and has made his living
working with wood for over seventeen years.

He has placed in International competitions and has been awarded
two Best of Show awards in regional carving competitions.  He is
known for his eye for detail and exquisite craftsmanship.

Gary's studio/shop is located in rural Dodge County, Wisconsin.  He
produces contemporary tables that are displayed in twenty
designer showrooms around the country, and also does
architectural woodworking.  The most notable commissioned
carving job he received was carving a replica of the Federal Seal,
which was seven feet in diameter, for the Federal Court Building in
Milwaukee.

Quality Wood Carving designs and manufactures quality custom bench-made contemporary furniture out of
woods such as walnut, cherry, maple, mahogany, and ash.  Side tables, game tables, coffee tables, and dining
tables are included in the line.  Hand carving is available on all tables.   

Master wood carver, Gary Detlaff, hand-carves wooden roses in aspen, walnut, bloodwood, and ebony.  He
also carves intricate wall hangings, gunstocks, statues, and pieces for architectural restoration.  Gary also
turns cremation urns, bowls,  and architectural pieces.
